I have made it to Pwllheli.
I have today made the trip up to North Wales from Aberystwyth where I have spent the last 2 days as the weather has pinned me in there. I was planning on leaving there yesterday but the weather was giving a force 7 so I thought I would play the safe card and hold as the weather was breaking overnight.
The team at the Marine Group in Aberystwyth have been fantastic putting me up for the couple of nights and I must say a huge thank you to them.
I left there this morning two hours after high tide and made the passage to Pwllheli , when I left the wind was blowing a strong force 5 and I took the option and put a reef in the main but then the inevitable happened and the wind dropped to a 3-4 so I shook the reef out.
Finally as we got over the half way mark the wind picked up and I had a fantastic beat into the bay where I was playing spot the lobster pots as they seem to be everywhere which kept me on my toes, but thankfully nothing caught on this trip.
I have a few small repair jobs to do and a couple of improvements that I have made note of that will make life a little easier for me.
I will keep you all updated on the repairs and what I have been busy with.
